Admiralty University Hosts Fourth Annual Research Week

THE Vice Chancellor of Admiralty Uni­versity of Nigeria (ADUN), Delta State, Pro­fessor Christopher Ogbog­bo, has said that research drives the pursuit of truth and expands the boundar­ies of knowledge.

He made the remarks at the 4th Annual ADUN Research Week, held at the university’s campus in Delta State.

Professor Ogbogbo said ADUN is committed to solving real-world prob­lems through rigorous research and innovation.

He re-affirmed the uni­versity’s vision to serve as a hub for research-driven development in Nigeria.

According to him, ADUN produces research-ori­ented students capable of contributing to global knowledge and national growth. The Vice Chancel­lor commended Professor Chinwe Isitua and her team for organizing a suc­cessful research week.

He noted that the event brought together scholars, management, staff and stu­dents in a vibrant platform for intellectual engage­ment.

Isitua, Chairperson of the event, thanked God for the strength to organize the programme.

She said ADUN Research week was to promote in­novation, intellectual ex­change and strategic col­laboration for national and global advancement. Isitua stated that the event, inau­gurated in 2022, has grown in scope and impact.

She said the maiden edi­tion themed “Improving ADUN Research Effort Through Synergy Between Town and Gown”, laid a strong collaborative foun­dation. Isitua, chairperson of the institution’s Senate Committee on Research and Grants, expressed pride in ADUN’s progress in research capacity development.

She appreciated the orga­nizing committee for its vi­sion and commitment, while thanking the university’s management.
