THE Vice Chancellor of Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN), Delta State, Professor Christopher Ogbogbo, has said that research drives the pursuit of truth and expands the boundaries of knowledge.
He made the remarks at the 4th Annual ADUN Research Week, held at the university’s campus in Delta State.
Professor Ogbogbo said ADUN is committed to solving real-world problems through rigorous research and innovation.
He re-affirmed the university’s vision to serve as a hub for research-driven development in Nigeria.
According to him, ADUN produces research-oriented students capable of contributing to global knowledge and national growth. The Vice Chancellor commended Professor Chinwe Isitua and her team for organizing a successful research week.
He noted that the event brought together scholars, management, staff and students in a vibrant platform for intellectual engagement.
Isitua, Chairperson of the event, thanked God for the strength to organize the programme.
She said ADUN Research week was to promote innovation, intellectual exchange and strategic collaboration for national and global advancement. Isitua stated that the event, inaugurated in 2022, has grown in scope and impact.
She said the maiden edition themed “Improving ADUN Research Effort Through Synergy Between Town and Gown”, laid a strong collaborative foundation. Isitua, chairperson of the institution’s Senate Committee on Research and Grants, expressed pride in ADUN’s progress in research capacity development.
She appreciated the organizing committee for its vision and commitment, while thanking the university’s management.
