Your Emergence, Call To Greater Service, Ubulu-Uku Monarch Tells New EXCO

The Obi of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Agbogidi, Obi, Chukwuka Akaeze, yesterday inaugurated the newly elected leadership of the Ubulu-Uku Development Council (UDC), charging them to view their victory as a call to greater service, unity, and patriotism toward the peace and prosperity of the kingdom.

Delivering his address, the traditional ruler announced the successful conclusion of the UDC election, which produced Mr. Henry Okwu-dishu as National President, describing the outcome as a significant step toward restoring stability and progress within the community.

“This victory is not just about winning; it is an invitation for everyone to serve with greater dedication, guided by love and a strong sense of patriotism for the peace and prosperity of Ubulu-Uku,” he said.

According to the monarch, the new UDC leadership carries the responsibility of uniting the people, rebuilding trust, and steering the kingdom toward positive and progressive development.

He assured that the throne would work closely with the council while expecting commitment, transparency, discipline, service and unwavering loyalty from its members.

He also commended the Interim Reconciliation and Caretaker Committee (IRCC), led by Prof. Goodwill Ofunne, for successfully organizing the election and restoring order through what he described as resilience and innovative methods.

The monarch used the occasion to appreciate Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, for efforts in ensuring peace, security and development across the state, urging indigenes of the kingdom to avail his administration of their collective and unflinching support.

Speaking to pressmen, the UDC President Henry Okwu-dishu, assured members of the community of inclusive leadership, stating that his executive would carry everyone along in the discharge of its responsibilities to ensure peace and development in the kingdom.

Okwudishu also disclosed plans to strengthen collaboration with government institutions and engage influential sons and daughters of the kingdom to support developmental initiatives, particularly in the face of limited government funding.
