The Executive Director of Projects on the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun (Dr) Ebenezer Okorodudu, has been honoured with a Distinguished Personality Award by the Delta State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ofuoma, Ughelli.
The prestigious award was presented to Dr Okorodudu by the Provost of the institution, Dr. (Mrs) Odiete Congrat, during the College’s 8th Convocation Ceremony held yesterday at the College Sports Complex in Ofuoma, Ughelli.
According to the college authorities, the award was bestowed in recognition of Okorodudu’s outstanding contributions to public service, infrastructural development, and unwavering support for education and human capital development across Delta State.
The colourful convocation ceremony attracted several eminent personalities, including the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, who was represented by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof Nyerhovwo Tobukari. Other dignitaries at the event included top government officials, members of the institution’s management, graduands, students, and guests.
Highlights of the event included academic processions, presentation of awards, and goodwill messages, as the institution celebrated academic excellence and reaffirmed its commitment to producing skilled health professionals to meet the healthcare needs of Delta State and the nation at large.
