HPMs’ Wives, Others Hold Thanksgiving, Canvass Members’ Welfare

The National Association of Wives of Head of Personnel Management (HPM) and Treasurers/Female HPMs and Treasurers in Delta State Local Government Service have held an end of year 2025 with a vow to give priority to members welfare.
The thanksgiving service was held at the Redeem Christian Church of God, Dominion Area Headquarter, Otokutu in Ughelli South Local Government to thank God for what He has done for them for the past years.

The Guest Pastor, Ademola Ojo, who is also the Pastor-in-Charge of RCCG DELTA PROVINCE 13, while admonishing them, said that “Gratitude is a Key to Greater Heights”.
He took text from the book of Psalm 18 verse 49, which says, “Therefore I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the Gentiles, and sing praises to your name”, and explained that “when you give thanks and pray, you get more. we should always appreciate God for all He has done for us”.

At the reception was held at the Meritorious Event Centre, Ebrumede, Effurun in Uwvie Local Government Area, the President of the Association, Pastor (Mrs) Ighomrore Ophe Hope, who recently retired as Treasurer to Local Government and who is also the wife of the HPM, Partani Local Government, thanked the Chairman of Delta State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), Hon. Pastor Joseph Otirhue and his entourage for celebrating with them.

She said: “The reason behind this Association is togetherness, unity, members’ welfare, as well as to touch lives, by reaching out to orphanages and providing food items and other necessities to them, adding that they have visited orphanages during their monthly meeting.

Pastor (Mrs.) Hope emphasized the need for the wives of HPMs, female HPMs, and TLGs to know and relate with one another to enable them to encourage harmonious working relationships with their husbands.

The Commission Chairman, in his remarks, appreciated the women for coming together as one, stressing that there is unity because nothing is impossible to achieve when there is unity.

He advised the women to always be at peace with their husbands because whenever there is peace at home, the men perform better in their places of work and attract progress for the family and society in general.

The high point of the occasion was the decoration of the wife of the Commission Chairman, Pastor (Mrs) Otirhue Susan, as Matron to the Association.

In attendance was the second member representing the South South in the Commission, Dr Mimmie Igbrude , Secretary to the Commission, Barr. Henry Ebinum and Directors from the Commission. Also present were the HPMs and TLGs from Patani, Sapele, Ethiope West, Ukwuani, and Ndokwa West Local Governments, amongst others.
