DEMSMEDA Gears Up For MSME Summit Dec 3-5

THE Delta State Government has announced the inaugural edition of the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Summit 2025, scheduled to hold from December 3 to 5 in Asaba.

The Project Consultant, Mr. Charles Ojakovo a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, FCIB, told The Pointer today that it is organized by the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (DEMSMEDA), a three-day summit, themed “Advancing Delta MSMEs: From Vision to MORE Value”.

Ojakovo said it is designed to convene entrepreneurs, industry leaders, policy makers and a wide spectrum of MSME stakeholders to deliberate on growth opportunities and emerging challenges in the sector.

According to DEMSMEDA, the Summit will be officially declared open by Governor sheriff Oborevwori, while renowned banker and entrepreneur, Mr.Tony Elumelu, will chair the event.

The Executive Secretary/CEO of DEMSMEDA, Dr. Godwin Adolor, who signed the official announcement and invitation, said the maiden Summit represents a significant step in advancing the Oborevwori administration’s commitment to strengthening the MSME ecosystem and expanding economic opportunities for Deltans.

He added that participants are expected to register online either as attendees, exhibitors or innovators pitching business ideas.

The Summit is slated to take place at Mariam Babangida Leisure Park, Anwai, Asaba. Adolor noted that the forum will provide a platform for productive engagements and knowledge-sharing aimed at enhancing the value and visibility of MSMEs across the state.

Prospective participants were encouraged to complete their registration through the DEMSMEDA website.
