The Speaker, Delta House of Assembly, Rt Hon Dennis Guwor, has emphasised the need for collective action toward achieving a just, equitable, and prosperous nation.
Guwor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr Nkem Nwaeke, yesterday, in Asaba, stressed that every stakeholder has a role to play in building a brighter Nigeria.
Guwor, who is the National Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, highlighted the importance of unity and stability in driving national progress.
He emphasised peace and respect for the rule of law as essentials for sustainable development.
The speaker reflected on Nigeria’s journey in six and half decades, emphasising the need for sober reflection on the nation’s past and what lay ahead.
The speaker assured that the eight Delta Assembly would sustain its collaborative spirit with other arms of government to enhance good governance, inclusivity, and development in the state.
Guwor commended Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori’s visionary leadership and urged Nigerians, particularly the people of Delta State, to renew their faith in the nation.
The speaker emphasised the importance of hard work, quality education, and opportunities for all in achieving a greater nation, while urging the youth to remain hopeful, innovative, and engaged.
