Army, NSCDC Tighten Ranks Against Crime In Delta

The Commander, 63 Brigade/Sector 1, Joint Task Force, Operation DELTA SAFE (OPDS), Brigadier-General Moronfolu Shonibare, has assured the new State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Chinedu Igbo, of continued collaboration and support in the fight against crime across Delta State.
Shonibare gave the assurance when he received the NSCDC Commandant on a courtesy visit at the Headquarters of 63 Brigade, Asaba.

He noted that the Brigade under his command would “continue to build on existing collaboration,” particularly in the areas of joint operations, training, and coordinated responses to critical security challenges.
The Commander also welcomed Commandant Igbo to Delta State and wished him “a successful tour of duty.”

Earlier, Commandant Igbo explained that his visit was to formally register his presence and to familiarize himself with the Army leadership. He commended the Brigade for its achievements in the state and called for stronger ties, noting that “the NSCDC plays a critical role in supporting the Nigerian Army and other security agencies.”
