The Director-General , Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA), Chief Patrick Ukah, has carried out an intensive inspection of ongoing road projects in Oshimili South Local Government Area, issuing a firm charge to contractors to deliver quality jobs.
Projects visited included the construction/rehabilitation of Okwe Market, Umuapa Quarters Road; St. Theresa Catholic Church Road; Old Oko Road, Okwe, with a total length of 1,605 meters, and the Construction of Chris Abudei Street/Ogbueshi M. Onochie Street, Asaba, spanning 2.6 kilometers.
Ukah, accompanied by the DSCTDA Project Manager, Engr. Bawo Atsiangbe, warned that the agency will not compromise on standards, stressing that the roads must meet approved specifications and timelines.
“These projects are critical to opening up communities, easing mobility, and boosting socio-economic activities. Contractors must understand that there is no room for shortcuts. DSCTDA will be on ground to monitor every stage,” Ukah declared.
The DG assured residents that the agency remains fully committed to sustaining infrastructural development across the capital territory, adding that government funds must translate into visible, lasting impact.
