As primary and secondary schools across Delta State, resume for first term of the 2025/2026 academic session, the Proprietress of the famous St Anastasia Heights School Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area, Chief (Mrs) Anastasia Agbatutu, has advised that pupils and students should start well and finish strong.
The renowned educationist cum counselor gave the advice while fielding questions from our correspondent on the resumption of primary and secondary schools in Uvwie Local Government Area.
The highly esteemed Uvwie chief noted that “ this is the beginning of a new session and also the beginning of a new term. So parents and guardians should encourage their wards to start the new session well so that they ( pupils and students) can finish strong”
Agbatutu stated that some of the ways in which the pupils and students can start well, are to do the needful for resumption . This, according to her, includes the payment of school fares, buying of books and sawing of new school uniform among others. She stressed that if a child does not start well, the child might find it difficult to finish well.
Agbatutu also appealed for government’s assistance for pupils and students. She, however, appreciated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the rehabilitation of roads and construction of gutters in Uti Road where the school is located. She gladly noted that the area was free from the problems of flooding.
She had earlier remarked that the first day of resumption in her school in the new academic session was encouraging in spite of the heavy down pour.
