Delta HoS Harps On Punctuality, Gainful Engagement Of Staff

FOR an effective and efficient public service delivery, the Head of Service of Delta State,  Dr. Mininim Oseji,  has assessed, re-organized and restructured the Directorate of Establishments and Pensions to ensure that every staff is engaged and accounted for.

The Head of Service advised that every staff must be attached to a unit in each department for efficiency and to avoid redundancy in the Directorate.

At a meeting with the management and staff of the Directorate of Establishments and Pensions in the conference hall of the office of the Head of Service, she charged all Directors to provide their departments’ organogram to ensure that each department has at least two Units in which every staff must be attached to be actively engaged, adding that the corrected copies of their Organogram be returned to her by the Directors.

The Directorate with about eight departments has amongst others, Departments of Personnel Management, Planning Research and Statistics, Finance and Supply, Training, Management Services, Finance and Accounts, Pensions and Staff Training Centre.

The Head of Service further stressed that as good ambassadors of the State Civil Service they must be proactive in the discharge of their duties as persistent lateness and absenteeism could attract penalty or suspension without pay or being classified as ghost workers.

Present at the meeting was the Functioning Permanent Secretary in the Directorate, Mr Kingsley Olomukoro and other Directors.
