DTSG Conducts Free Eye Tests, Provides Free Reading Glasses For Civil Servants

The Delta State Ministry of Health in conjunction with Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and other Partners has organized a Two – Day Pre World Sight Day Vision Screening Exercise for Public and Civil Servants in the State.

The Head of Service of Delta State, Dr. Mininim Oseji who also benefited from the exercise by getting her eyes checked, commended President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for sustaining the program, which started when President Bola Tinubu was the Governor of Lagos State.

The HOS who expressed satisfaction at the large turnout of Civil Servants, encouraged them to take advantage of the screening exercise in order to benefit from the largess of government even as she directed Health Workers to extend the services to Primary Health Centers across the state for the benefit of non- Civil Servants.

She commended the Health Commissioner, Dr Joseph Onojaeme and the Organizers of the program, encouraging the team to give their support and cooperation for the success of the program.

The ‘2025 World Sight Day has the theme “Love Your Eyes: Access to Eye Care for All,” and Under the Jigibola 2.0 Effective Spectacle Coverage of Nigeria ensures that beneficiaries receive free eye examination and free reading glasses.

The Screening Exercise is expected to last for two days, 4th and 5th of September, 2025.
