THE Chairman, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta State, Hon. Kelvin Ezenyili has reiterated the determination of his administration’s commitment to establishing infrastructures that will meet the needs of the people in the Area.
Ezenyili said this while addressing members of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, led by its Chairman, Comrade Oyowe, who visited him to appraise his exploit in his first one-year in office in the entire council.
The local government has physical structures as proof of commitment to the development of all the communities that make up the local government area and they were established according to the needs of the people.
The Chairman noted that his administration had considered the lofty idea of establishing physical structures across the entire area, including the construction of modern new administrative office complex that will befit the council secretariat as in a state capital
He listed some of the facilities completed and those that were ongoing in different parts of the local government area, including the ongoing new modern Secretariat in the Council’s headquarters
Some of the projects completed, according to Ezenyili, are Oshimili South Local Government plaza constructed to replace the burnt part of Ogbogonogo Market, Asaba, and the Event Centre in Oko, built for activities in Oko and environs.
The chairman said that his administration provided a 150kva generating set to empower the council and a 500kva transformer for residents of Okelue Street, Asaba and its immediate environs.
The Chairman also noted that his administration created a Security Trust Fund to demonstrable interest in securing the lives and property of the people residing in any of the communities, be it urban or rural, in the local government area.
