Girl, 10, Escapes From Suspected Ritualists As Boy, Four Stolen

A girl of about 10 called Ngozi has escaped from suspected ritualists, operating in Asaba, during the week.

Our correspondent gathered the victim was picked by the suspect at shop where is learning a trade during early hours of the day.

Narrating her ordeal to newsmen, Favour sad she bundled in their waiting vehicle with about five other children suspected stolen from Asaba and its environs.

The victim said, as they were driving towards Onitsha Bridge, approaching a police checkpoint, she was shouting and making noise, at that point they allowed her to escape as they pushed out the car, but they went away with the children.

She said her parent had already reported the matter to the police. Also, in a related development, a four year old boy was stolen from their compound along DLA area of Asaba.

It was gathered the children was sent just buy biscuit when unknowingly to the parents, he stolen. The parents waited for over two hours and they went looking for but he was nowhere to be found.

The parent, The Pointer learned that had reported the matter to the police while in search of the missing child.
