It was sad day for the family of Mrs. Happiness, residing in Asaba, the Delta State capital as their three year son fell from a storey building staircase and died on the spot.
The Pointer correspondent, who visited the family, yesterday at Dan Ngozi Iyio Street, reported that they many sympathisers were in the home of the bereaved parents to condole them on the unfortunate incident.
According to the mothe r, Happiness, she returned from a journey and she stepped into the compound, her son, Somto, heard her voice greeting a co-tenant.
He was then running down to welcome the mother as every child does, but unfortunately, he skipped his step and fell from the staircase, hitting his head on the hard floor.
Immediately, he was in coma with head swollen and not making any movement, we rushed him to hospital and he was confirmed by doctors on duty dead after a day.
The father who is vulcaniser was seen crying over the incident and was asking God to save his child, though knowing he was no more.
It was gathered he was the only son with an elder sister of about five years.
The remains of the little Michael were buried the next day after the unfortunate incident.
