Oborevwori Commends Warri Wolves For Going Professional, Assures Of More Commitment

THE Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Hon Joshua Onoriode Oborevwori has commended the players and officials of Warri Wolves Football Club for living up to their responsibilities in the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 tournament by securing the promotion ticket to the National Professional Football League (NPFL).

The Chairman said this yesterday in an interview with press men after the Club won their opponent, Crown F C 2 – 1 in their match  at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba as part of the matches lined up in the Super 8 tournaments that will enable the league to promote four Clubs into the professional cadre of the of the Nigerian league.

Wolves started the championship on ver poor state, losing their first match 0 – 1 to Osun United F C and this obviously upset their fans but the came back in their second encounter to humiliate Kun Khalifat 3 – 0  and also won yesterday’s encounter 2 – 1 to establish their zeal on the promotion to the high level professional league.

The Club eventually emerged the top most team in their conference and would be playing the final with Wikki Tourists who equally top the Northern Conference and two of them would meet to decide the real winner of the tournament.

Hon Oborevwori said that he is impressed b their performance and assured that the will be very well encouraged to perform creditably at the professional league.

The Chairman further stated that the will do exploit as the desire of the Commission and indeed the State, is to ensure that the play in CAF championship which is a very good level for serious minded players and their Clubs.
