Okehebunor Unveils Foundation, Roadmap To Empower Women/Youth

IT was a landmark moment for the Okehebunor Foundation as the organization officially unveiled its establishment, core values, and strategic roadmap dedicated to fostering growth and development among women, youth, and children in society.

The unveiling event, held in Asaba, brought together stakeholders from various sectors and marked a renewed commitment by the Foundation to champion impactful change and social transformation.

In his address, the Founder of the Okehebunor Foundation and Global Director of Africanist Inclusion in Diaspora, Mr. Samuel Okehebunor, emphasized that the Foundation’s mission is grounded in a deep desire to inspire and uplift communities through purposeful initiatives.

“Our vision is to inspire people and give back to society in a way that creates a brighter future for vulnerable groups, this roadmap represents our commitment to sustainable programs that will improve the lives of women, youth, and children ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to thrive.”

Mr. Okehebunor reiterated that the Foundation was established in 2016. Since then, it has made a meaningful impact across several states in Nigeria and beyond. Its activities span healthcare outreach, educational support, and economic empowerment, particularly in underserved communities.

As part of its healthcare initiative, the Foundation has organized medical outreach programs, including the distribution of maternity kits to pregnant women and nursing mothers. In the field of education, it has provided scholarships, learning materials, and mentorship to hundreds of school aged children. The empowerment arm of the Foundation supports young entrepreneurs and women through skills training and micro-grants.

Mr. Okehebunor also revealed that the newly launched roadmap outlines the Foundation’s strategic goals over the next three years. These include expanding its programs to more rural communities, forming partnerships with international development agencies, and enhancing access to quality healthcare, education, and economic empowerment for women, children and youth.

He called on influential individuals and organizations to join the mission of building a more inclusive and supportive society. “We cannot do this alone,” he said. “It takes a collective effort to raise a generation that is empowered, educated, and equipped for the future.”

Also speaking at the event was the Chairman of Ika North-East Local Government and Chairman of the Occasion, Hon. Monday Odigie, who underscored the importance of giving back to society. He applauded Mr. Okehebunor’s dedication, describing his efforts as a true demonstration of humanity in action.

Similarly, the Obi of Akumazi Kingdom in Ika North-East, His Royal Majesty Obi Henry Jegbefume 1, praised Mr. Samuel Okehebunor for his generous contributions to the people. He also urged other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate his example and help make the world a better place.
