THE Chairman, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Chief Obi Nzete has dissolved the revenue committee headed by Pastor Fidelis Ojugbeli with immediate effect.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Chief Sunday Enu, on behalf of the Chairman, said the dissolution was informed by the need to overhaul and rejuvenate the internally generated revenue system of the local government.
The statement commended the members of the dissolved Revenue Committee for their contributions towards the development of the local government area and wished them well in their future endeavours.
The statement directed members of the dissolved committee to handover all the local government’s property in their possessions to the office of the Treasurer to the Local Government with immediate effect.
According to the local government boss, the new Revenue committee will be reconstituted within one week and advised the people of the area, corporate organisations and the public not to patronise members of the dissolved Revenue Committee.
