THE efforts of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to reposition Nigeria and Delta State, respectively, have not gone unnoticed, as votes of confidence continue to pour in in recognition of their leadership strides.
The latest in the long line of confidence votes for the duo was passed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward 2, Onicha-Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Pointer recalls that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori led the entire state political structure to move into the APC, a development that has since aligned Delta with the party at the centre.
During its meeting, they passed a vote of confidence on the president and the governor, expressing absolute confidence in their leadership since they both assumed office on May 29, 2023.
At the meeting, they adopted President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori as their sole candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections, following a motion that was moved and adopted to that effect.
The motion was moved by Andrew Odum, SAN and was seconded by the Councillor representing Ward 2 in the Legislative Arm of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Ijeli Okwechime.
Governor Oborevwori was hailed for his strides in infrastructural and human capital development, as well as ensuring a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, as contained in the MORE Agenda.
