Warri Wolves FC Set To Gain Promotion In NNL Super Eight

THE Delta State Football Club Warri Wolves FC have assured that they will do the much they can to gain promotion to the Premier League in the Super Eight tournament starting tomorrow at Stephen Keshi Stadium,  Asaba.

The Nigeria National League is the second-highest overall in the Nigerian football league system after the Nigeria Premier Football League, it is currently contested for, by 46 clubs. Each season, four teams are promoted to the Nigeria Premier Football League..

The Supper Eight is the tournament, organized by the Nigeria National League (NNL) who manages football tournaments outside the Professional leagus.

The Eight teams that have qualified for the tournament are Warri Wolves, Osun United, Crown FC, and Kun Khalifa FC of Owerri.

Others include Wikki Tourists of Bauchi, Yobe Desert Stars of Damaturu, Doma United of Gombe, and Barau FC of Kano State.

The Super Eight competition will determine the best four that will be promoted to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) for the 2025/26 season as well as deciding the winner of the 2024 /2025 NNL season.

The NPFL is the highest Football League in the country.

Warri Wolves F C is the Delta State team and the Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Hon Onoriode Joshua Oborevwori has encouraged the team to do their best to secure a slot in the Premier League the State have been so inclined to sports development in the country to the point that not having a club in the highest league would amount to some level of inadequacies.
