Tinubu/Oborevwori 2027: Nani Pledges Alliance With Urhobo Political Group

By ELOHOR FOGHOLA

Chairman, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Barr. John Nani, with his political structure, “Aghwemutuwevwi Political Forum”, have reaffirmed their commitment to partner with the “Urhobo Nation for Tinubu 2027” to ensure the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the 2027 general elections.

Chief Nani made this known, yesterday, when delegates from Urhobo Nation for Tinubu 2027, led by its Vice President, Ambassador Mrs Obukome Ibru-Mukoro paid him a visit in his office at the DESOPADEC corporate head office, in Warri.

Expressing his gratitude to the visiting delegation for their commitment and shared vision, he disclosed that the meeting was initiated by Dr. (Mrs.) Adeseye Ogunlewe, Ambassador of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) in the Diaspora and President of the Urhobo Nation for Tinubu 2027.

He said, the meeting was aimed at aligning political structures of both groups, deepen strategic planning, and solidify grassroots mobilisation efforts in Delta State ahead of the 2027 presidential and gubernatorial elections.

“When we began talking, I was still in the PDP, but now we are all in APC, united under one goal — to return President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in 2027,” he said.

Speaking via phone during the meeting, Dr. Mrs. Omodoroh Adeseye Ogunlewe expressed strong confidence in the emerging alliance. “We have a formidable team to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election. Together with Chief Nani, we are confident of re-electing him in 2027,” she said.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Ambassador Ibru-Mukoro, who represented the president Mrs Ogunleye reiterated the group’s unwavering commitment to mobilizing nationwide support for President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori’s second term.

“We are here to salute your team and to strengthen our collaboration. We are not just political supporters; we are a structured, registered organisation with coordinators and directors across various levels. Our purpose is to mobilise support to return Mr. President to Aso Rock in 2027,” she said.

“Politics is not for the faint-hearted, but with determined minds and resilient leadership, we are confident of achieving our goal,” she added, while acknowledging the formidable challenges of political mobilisation.

Ambassador Ibru-Mukoro also highlighted the role of respected figures like Chief John Oguma and Mrs. Cecilia Ibru, who serves as matron of the organisation.

The meeting ended with mutual assurances of cooperation, strategic planning, and the harmonisation of political structures between the Aghwemutuwevwi political forum and Urhobo Nation for Tinubu 2027 leadership.
