There was tension as suspected Kidnappers abducted a lawyer, Barr Emeka I. Irogboli and a solar panel installer who was working for him in his residence and are now threatening to kill them if their demands are not met.
Rights activist, Comrade Harrison Gwamnishu, who disclosed this, yesterday, via a Facebook post, said the incidence occurred at Ibusa, behind Admiralty Drive in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Gwamnishu, in a follow up video, said the residence of the lawyer where the incidence occurred is located in a bushy area and over 20-minute drive from town.
He wrote: “Barr Emeka I. Irogboli, a practicing lawyer residing in Ibusa, Delta State, was kidnapped alongside a solar panel engineer who was working at his residence.”
He added: “This is a call to the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Delta State Chapter to reach out to the family and find alternatives in rescuing their own.”
According to him, “the kidnappers are threatening to take their lives if their demands are not met.”
Efforts to speak with Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe proved abortive as at the time of filing in this report, yesterday.
