Members of Delta State Association of Persons with Disabilities (DELSAPWD) in Isoko North Local Government Area have passed a vote of confidence on the state Governor, the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging others across the state to follow suit.
This endorsement came in anticipation of the governor’s second year in office, highlighting his notable achievements and recent political shift to the All Progressives Congress (APC), which the group believeed aligned well with the developmental goals of the MORE Agenda.
In an open letter signed by the Coordinator of DELSAPWD, Delta South Senatorial District, Comrade Simeon Ikota, the group stated: “Delta State indigenes home and abroad should not see the defection of the governor and entire Delta State PDP to the All Progressive Congress (APC) as an unexpected arrival.
“It was time to do so and this will lead Delta State to the next level. The hard working Governor, with his critical stakeholders, has done much in the state such as the completion of abandoned projects, development of tertiary institutions in the state and establishment of more tertiary institutions in the state for example is the establishment of School of Health, Ovrode.
