THE Delta Printing and Publishing Corporation (DPPC), publishers of The Pointer newspapers, has held a thanksgiving service, yesterday, in Asaba to mark another year of institutional growth, divine blessings, and service as the State’s foremost State-owned print media organisation.
The thanksgiving service, held at Bible Base Miracle Assembly (Freedom City), Asaba, brought together members of the corporation’s management and staff, alongside friends, associates and well-wishers, to appreciate God for sustained progress, stability and renewed strength in the corporation’s operations under its new leadership headed by the Managing Director, Mrs Rosemary Nwaebuni.
Delivering a sermon at the event, the General Overseer of the Church, Rev. Jerry Nwachukwu, preached on the topic “What the Blood Symbolises,” taking his text from Revelation 12:9, 11 and Revelation 5:9.
Rev. Nwachukwu explained that the blood of Jesus symbolises redemption, victory and purification, noting that while people may organise physical freedom from prison, only the blood of Jesus can wipe away the shame and spiritual consequences of bondage.
He stressed that Jesus shed His blood in seven significant ways to cleanse mankind from sin and secure freedom from eternal condemnation.
He referenced scriptures including Isaiah 50:6, Luke 22:44, Psalm 22:16 and John 19:34 to illustrate the sacrifice of Christ and the power of His blood to purify believers from unrighteousness to righteousness.
The cleric urged Christians not to substitute or trivialise the blood of in the country, Obiogho said security should be seen as a collective responsibility and not left solely to the government.
He called for increased prayers for the nation, noting that while government faces numerous challenges, citizens also have a role to play in ensuring safety within their communities.
He urged Nigerians to be vigilant and proactive in securing their environments, encouraging citizens to share information and alert relevant authorities when suspicious activities are observed.
Reiterating his message to political leaders, the cleric said Governor Oborevwori has performed creditably in driving development in Delta State, adding that if other governors adopt a similar development-oriented mindset, Nigeria would be better positioned for growth and stability. Jesus through rituals, stressing that the price for salvation has already been fully paid.
Offering prayers for the management, staff and future of the Delta Printing and Publishing Corporation, Rev. Nwachukwu declared peace, stability and greater progress for the organisation in the new season.
He prayed that harmony would continue to prevail among workers, that staff would serve faithfully and retire peacefully, and that the state government would give due attention to the corporation’s needs, providing the necessary support to strengthen its capacity and performance.
The cleric also prayed against accidents and misfortune affecting official and personal engagements of staff, asked for peace in their homes, and expressed hope that the leadership of the corporation, under Mrs Rosemary Nwaebuni would leave behind a lasting legacy of positive impact, professionalism and good reports.
