THE Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has been commended for understanding the need for grassroot development in the state.
This commendation was given by the member representing Ndokwa East at the state House of Assembly, Hon Emeke Osamuta, when he gave an account of his two-year stewardship to the people of Ndokwa East at the Civic Center, Aboh.
Hon Osamuta stated that being a representative of the people of Ndokwa East,it was imperative that he keeps his constituency abreast of the state of the constituency, progress made and challenges.
He listed some of the development recorded so far to include construction of NYSC lodge at Akarai Obodo, construction of a block of 4 classrooms in Obetim community, construction of Chief Ike Oputa Street, Aboh, renovation of classroom blocks at Ibrede grammar school; construction of 3 classroom blocks at Akarai Obodo; approval and commencement of 10.8 km road and a hundred-meter bridge across the Aboh – Okiri river.
Others include the provision of 275 chairs and tables for pupils and 25 chairs and tables for teachers in selected communities in Ndokwa East local government area, and the renovation of Ossisa commercial school. Hon Osamuta stated that these would not have been possible without the magnanimity of the governor who speedily approved grassroots projects, especially the approval by the state executive council of the 10.8 km Aboh -Akarai concrete road, with a hundred-meter bridge across the okiri river
Highlight of the occasion was the passing of votes of confidence on President Bola Tinubu, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi, Hon Osilonya and Prince Emeke Osamuta by Hon Oliseh Imegwu, which were unanimously adopted.
