NBA Asaba Wins AG’s Cup In Football Final

The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Delta State, Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, and the Solicitor-General/Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Omamuzo Erebe have commended the football team of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Asaba Branch for winning the third edition of the Attorney-General’s Football Cup Competition.

The final match, which was played at the St. Patrick’s College football field, West End, Asaba, saw the NBA Asaba Branch defeat the NBA Warri Branch by three goals to nil.

Presenting the Attorney-General’s Championship Trophy and a cash prize to the victorious Asaba team, Ohwovoriole noted that the competition was designed to foster unity among the various NBA Branches in the state, as well as to provide a platform for physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle among legal practitioners.

In their respective remarks to journalists at the final match, the Chairmen of the NBA, Asaba and Warri branches, Azuka Paul Maduemezia, and Othadua Okpakpor applauded the Attorney-General for the initiative, describing it as a unifying force for lawyers across the state.

They also praised his commitment to the successful hosting of the tournament in Asaba.

The competition, which attracted a large crowd of spectators and lawyers from across Delta State, featured football teams from the NBA Branches of Asaba, Warri, Ughelli, Udu, Effurun, and Sapele.
