- As Asaba Chief Imam Urges Selfless Service To Mankind
By Christy Aboghe
As Muslims in Delta State Joined others nationwide to celebrate Sallah, yesterday, the Chief Imam of the Federal College of Education Central Mosque, Asaba, Dr. Adekola Yinusa has enjoined mankind to cultivate the habit of rendering selfless services to their community and humanity.
The cleric said this shortly after the Eid-el- Kabir prayer at the mosque in Asaba
He said irrespective of their religion, they should have a good legacy for themselves and for a greater tomorrow,
Dr Yinusa frowned at Nigerians who out of greed and selfishness do not really want to do anything as a legacy for themselves now or for their family in future.
He advised those in the seat of power to allow their positions reflect in what they do to people.
Speaking on the annual Islamic celebration, he said it was the festival of sacrifice, to commemorate what the legacy Prophet Abraham left for mankind as a result of what transpired between himself and his son, Ishmael.
This, he said, was a far cry to what Prophet Abraham left as father of nations to mankind.
He advised all to have a change of heart, when it comes to rendering selfless services.
The cleric also commended the infrastructural development of the state government and called for more.
