Traditional rulers in Delta State have expressed delight over multiple projects being executed by Governor sheriff Oborevwori in the State and said that he deserved the Governor of the Year Award 2025 confered on him recently.
The awards were confered on him for his outstanding infrastructural development of Delta State by Telegraph and Leadership Newspapers.
Addressing journalists at the end of the monthly meeting of members of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council in Asaba, the Chairman and Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Major General Felix Mujakpuero (Rtd), Orhue 1 said the honour was well-deserved considering the multi-billion mega projects being executed by the Delta State Government across Delta State.
“We are elated and indeed very proud of the excellent performance of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori even as we expect more in line with his M.O.R.E. Agenda.”
The leadership of the Council in a three point communique also felicitated with some members of the Council who celebrated their coronation anniversaries recently.
They include the Ovie of Uvwie, Ovie of Agbon, Ebenanowie of Kumbowei and the Ovie of the Great Idjere kingdom.
The Monarchs also appreciated Governor Oborevwori for prioritizing the welfare of traditional rulers as exemplified by the recent presentation of 2025 SUV Jeeps to members under the leadership of the Orodje of Okpe , Major General Felix Mujakpuero , Orhue 1.
The meeting was attended by the First Vice Chairman and Pere of Akugbene Mien kingdom, SP Luke Kalanama V111, the Second Vice Chairman and Obi of Ubulu – Unor, Agbogidi Dr Henry Kikachukwu 1, and the immediate past Chairman of the Council and Obi of Owa, Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor 11 as well as traditional rulers from across the three senatorial Districts of Delta State.
