MONALISA Chinda, a renowned actress, has produced a provocative film, “Farm Boy”, which calls on the younger generation to return to the land and embrace farming as a means of achieving economic sustainability. The film tells the story of Jude Katung, a tech innovator who returns home to bury his father and is forced to rethink his values and legacy.
Chinda described “Farm Boy” as a soulful story of redemption, hope, and the triumph of the human spirit. She believes that the film will inspire social change and encourage Nigerians to reconnect with the land and the dignity of farming.
Farm Boy is a deeply human story of rediscovering value, rebuilding hope and finding a nation’s future where it all began — in the soil,” she added
The actress stated that her decision to produce the film was inspired by a desire to reconnect the younger generation with their roots and the land that sustains them. She emphasized that true wealth lies not only in oil or cities but in the soil that feeds and sustains us.
“Farm Boy” is a poetic cry for rebirth, reminding us that the future of Nigeria lies in its soil and the values of hard work, resilience, and faith. In a time when many chase quick riches, Farm Boy is a reminder that purpose, resilience, and faith can still grow one seed at a time. It’s a story of hope, family, and the triumph of human spirit and that makes it profoundly personal to me,” she added.
The film, shot in one of the farmlands in Kuje, Abuja, is a must-see, as it speaks to the soul of Africa and the importance of reconnecting with our roots.
