The family of late singer Ilerioluwa “Mohbad” Aloba has renewed calls for a transparent investigation into his death and instructed his widow, Wunmi, to stop using the Aloba surname until a court-ordered DNA test confirms her son’s paternity.
In a statement signed by family head Omolayo Aloba and Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, the family emphasized that it remains “resolute in its demand for a transparent, independent, and comprehensive investigation” into the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.
The family also announced Oladayo Ogungbe, Esq. as its sole legal representative for estate and DNA matters, while Dr. Wahab Shittu, SAN continues to represent them before investigative authorities.
Three administrators; Ajewole Aloba, Rasaq Famuyiwa, and Alonge Aloba were named to manage Mohbad’s assets, with one position reserved for Wunmi if the DNA test confirms her son, Liam, is Mohbad’s biological child.
