THE Chairman, Isoko South Local Government Area, Mr. Warri Ovoke Friday has applauded one of the recipients of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Presidential honour award, Enahoro Ewhala for making the Isoko nation proud.
The recipient, who is from Igbide extraction, was entertained to a warm reception during his courtesy visit to his office in Oleh. He further lauded him for his outstanding contributions and exceptional performance in his NYSC days that caught the attention of the Presidency.
“I thank you for representing the Isoko nation and Delta State in a positive manner. I am so excited because it occurred at a time when some of our youths lack appreciation for education and perceived it as fraudulent endeavour, prioritizing wealth over knowledge”.
He, however, urged him to leverage on his recent recognition by the federal Government to inspire other Isoko sons and daughters to prioritize education as the foundation for a prosperous society, adding that his rising fame should not stop him from identifying and connecting to his root.
“I want you to know that the presidential award and recognition is a rare distinction. I pray that you will continue to show respect to your parents and acknowledge the significant debt you owe them, knowing full well that your accomplishments will forever surpass theirs”.
He commended the President Bola Ahmed Asiwaju Tinubu for acknowledging and encouraging such great feats.
While expressing his gratitude to the local government Chairman, Hon Warri Ovoke Friday for the grand reception despite the short notice, Ewhala who holds a degree in Fine and Applied Art from the Delta State University, Abraka affirmed his commitment to the betterment of the society.
