The Founder and Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor Paul Enenche, has urged Christians to cultivate positive character and godliness, describing them as profitable virtues that impact both life on earth and destiny in eternity.
He made this known, yesterday, during the Sunday’s impartation service themed: “The Dividends of Positive Character” held at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Infant Jesus, Asaba, Delta State. The service, which he ministered virtually, lasted for three hours and drew its anchor text from Psalm 1:1–3.
According to Pastor Enenche, the objective of the message was to help believers understood the profit of positive character, uprightness, and godliness. Citing 1 Timothy 4:8, he noted that “godliness is profitable unto all things,” and used Joseph and Paul the Apostle as scriptural examples.
Outlining what he described as the “dividends of positive character,” Enenche explained that godly living attracts divine presence, faith, anointing, glory, and preservation.
He said: “The presence of God is the preserver of people who walk in godly character, and every godly man has a stand in God’s presence,” referencing James 5:16 and 1 Kings 17:1.
On the subject of faith, he added, “The boldness of faith is imparted by godly character and uprightness. There is a connection between faith and a pure conscience,” citing Proverbs 28:1 and 1 Timothy 1:19.
Speaking further, Enenche identified the anointing of God as another reward of positive character, explaining that “anointing belongs to men and women who walk in uprightness,” while using David as an example and referencing Psalm 89:20.
He also highlighted the glory of God and divine preservation as blessings that follow those who live rightly, quoting Exodus 15:11, Luke 9:29, and 1 Peter 3:13.
Pastor Enenche further stressed that godly character influences both a person’s welfare on earth and their eternal destiny, citing Daniel 12:2.
He warned, “In order not to end life’s journey in the eternal flames of hell, godliness is mandatory.”
