A former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, the Rt. Hon. Peter Onwusanya, has commended the peaceful atmosphere and unity that has necessitated the developmental achievements recorded by the state since 1991.
In a statement in Asaba, the state capital, today, he specifically praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for sustaining the tempo of infrastructural development since he assumed the mantle of leadership in the state.
According to him, Delta is one of the states that had maintained a stable development in terms of infrastructure and revenue generation as a result of the policies and focused leadership of the various governors that have ruled the state.
The former speaker, who is the Onwa of Asaba, pointed out that Deltans have reasons to celebrate 34 years of existence as the state had remained ahead of its equals in terms of peace and development.
While thanking the people for their peaceful disposition, unity, and support to the present administration of Rt. Hon. Oborevwori, Onwusanya said that the governor will remain ahead of his contemporaries before he hands over power in 2031.
He expressed the hope that more development will be witnessed in the state under the present administration.
