Ezinne Onyeme Reaffirms Support For Groups Promoting MORE Agenda

BY RITA AKPOTU

THE wife of the Delta State Deputy Governor, Ezinne Catherine Onyeme, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting groups aligned with the MORE Agenda.

She made this known, yesterday, during a courtesy visit by the Umuadiagbo Cultural Forum, Asaba, to her office in Asaba.

Ezinne Onyeme stated that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration has prioritized security, youth and women empowerment, and road infrastructure since assuming office.

She called for continued support from all stakeholders to sustain the MORE Agenda and promote inclusive governance across Delta State.

Mrs. Onyeme praised the Umuadiagbo Cultural Forum for fostering unity among Igbo women married to Deltans through cultural and social initiatives.

She emphasized that unity among women encourages peace, growth, and development in the community and the state.

She also commended the governor’s wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, for advancing the MORE Agenda through her “You Matter Charity Foundation.”

According to her, the foundation has helped uplift less privileged persons and reinforced the administration’s people-centered values.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Dr. Austa Ijeh, said the visit was to identify with Mrs. Onyeme as a respected member of the Igbo women’s community.

Dr. Ijeh explained that the forum comprises Igbo-speaking women from five states united by shared culture and a passion for supporting the underprivileged.

She added that the group also aims to back the Adaigbo Cultural Forum and strengthen community ties when needed.
