Ezewu Warns Students Against Exam Malpractice

BY JUMAI NWACHUKWU

DELTA State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu has called on students across the state to maintain integrity as they sit for the ongoing 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

She said this during an interview with The Pointer, where she urged candidates to steer clear of all forms of examination malpractice, emphasizing the importance of discipline, hardwork and honesty.

She reminded students that success achieved through dishonest means undermines both personal growth and the education system.

“We’ve provided all the necessary tools and learning support. It’s now up to the students to approach the exercise with a positive mind set and avoid peer pressure or malpractice that could jeopardise their future,” she said. She urges students to prioritise their education and desist from illegal activities in school that could destroy their future.

Ezewu assured parents that the ministry is working closely with school authorities and examination bodies to ensure a smooth and credible examination process throughout the state.
