As part of efforts to support the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration, the Convener of “Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff”, Chief Kome Okpobor, Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) has empowered 300 persons with N100, 000 each in Isoko nation to boost their businesses.
In his speech, the convener of the group, Chief Okpobor said that the empowerment at Isoko Development Union (IDU) Secretariat, Oleh was to mark this year Democracy Day of June 12.
Okpobor stated that “as humans, this is the time to help Isoko people in any little way we can”.
He used the medium to charge the people of Isoko nation to unite together and work for the success of the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori 2027 election.
He advised the beneficiaries, drawn from the various wards in Isoko South and North, respectively, to use the money judiciously to better their lives and also promised to embark on another empowerment in the next two months and in the month of December.
On his part, the Chairman of Isoko North Local Government, Hon Prince Godwin Ogorugba commended the Convener of”Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff”, Chief Kome Okpobor for his generosity towards the people of Isoko nation.
He further said that since the PDP had collapsed its structure into the APC, they will continue to pursue the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, especially in the area of empowerment to grow Isoko people.
The chairman admonished the beneficiaries to make good use of their money to grow their businesses, as he advised those who did not receive not to worry that more opportunities were coming for them.
The Director of Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff, Chief Dr Frank Ozue and the Spokesperson, Hon. Emakpor Odogu in their speeches appreciated the convener, Chief Okpobor for his kindness, and urged members to continue to support Governor Oborevwori-led administration.
They enjoined the Isoko people to support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to ensure he succeeds in 2027.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Christiana Ogaga, from Owhelogbo who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries commended Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff and Chief Kome Okpobor for his kind gesture.
She prayed God to continue to bless him in every of his endeavors, and also urged others to emulate his kind gesture.
