DELTA State Commissioner for Works (Urban Roads and Highways), Comrade Reuben Izeze has assured that the Delta State Government will deliver the Otovwodo flyover project according to specification.
The commissioner gave the assurance when he played host to a delegation led by the Chairman, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Barr. Jaro Egbo and representatives of the Otovwodo Community in his office in Asaba.
He noted that in keeping to his promise of providing quality infrastructure for Deltans, the state Governor, Rt HonSherrif Oborevwori had awarded the Otovwodo flyover project located in Ughelli North Local Government Area to Julius Berger, a reputable construction company.
“The Otowhodo flyover project located in Ughelli North Local Government Area has been awarded to Julius Berger Construction Company known for delivering projects to specification and standard.
“This particular project is not only about the provision of infrastructure, it will also provide jobs for people of the community where it is located,” he said.
He commended members of Otorwodo community for their cooperation towards ensuring that the project was executed successfully.
The commissioner enjoined the council chairman to ensure that peace and security is maintained throughout the duration of the project.
On his part, the Chairman, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Barr. Jaro Egbo said that Otovwodo Community and Ughelli Kingdom in general were grateful to Governor Oborevwori for deeming it fit to locate the flyover project in their community.
He promised to provide all that is required for the project to be successfully completed for the benefit of the community and the state in general.
