FOLLOWING the outcome of a three-day Post-Legislative Scrutiny (PLS) sensitisation workshop held recently in Asaba, the Delta State capital, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor has constituted a 10-man Ad-hoc Committee to examine and scrutinise the draft document
The Committee, headed by the Majority Leader, Hon. Emeka Nwaobi also has Hon. Ferguson Onwo, Hon. Charles Emetulu, Hon. Alfred Martins, Hon. Oloye Pereotu, Hon. Marilyn Okowa-Daramola, Hon. Matthew Omonade, Hon. James Augoye and Hon. Blessing Achoja as members.
The Clerk of the House, Barr. Otto Aghoghobia would serve as Secretary of the committee
Similarly, the Speaker also constituted another five-man Ad-hoc Committee headed by the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowvowo,
The five-man committee, which has Hons. Augustine Uroye, Perkins Umukoro, Festus Utuama and Bridget Anyafulu as members, is charged with the responsibility of overseeing the planned parley between members of the House and its non-sitting members.
Meanwhile, under Matters of Personal Explanation, the Member representing Ndokwa West State Constituency, Hon. Charles Emetulu, notified the House of the burial arrangements of the Pioneer Majority Leader of the House, late Hon. Aneke Ifemeni.
