NIGERIA Union of Teachers (NUT), Delta State Wing is set to hold its 8th Quadrennial (9th State) Delegates Conference, which will usher in a new set of executive of the union in Delta State.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Assistant Secretary General (ASG), Nigeria Union of Teachers, Delta State Wing, Comrade Dan Basime, a copy of which was obtained by The Pointer.
According to the statement, the opening ceremony of the Quadrennial conference is scheduled for Monday, August 18, 2025, at the College Hall, Government College, Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state by 10:00 a.m.
It further noted the occasion would be graced by the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, who will serve as the Special Guest of Honour and officially declare the conference open while the Commissioners of Secondary Education, Primary Education and that of Technical Education would also be in attendance
The conference, with the theme; “Motivation of Teachers: A Panacea for Improving Education Standards” will feature a keynote address to be delivered by an erudite scholar from the University of Delta, Agbor, Delta State, Dr. Hilary Odor.
Recall that the last conference, which held at College of Education , Warri where the current Chairman, Comrade Titus Okotie was reelected for another term of four years.
