THE Delta State Bureau for Special Duties has assured of the construction and maintenance of fire stations across the state, as well as providing succour to victims of disasters.
The Commissioner, Bureau for Special Duties, Mr. Ejiro Terry Etacherure spoke during the defence of the Bureau’s budget proposal at the 2026 Inter-Ministerial Budget Defense in Asaba.
The commissioner, who led a delegation of the Bureau’s management team and its agencies to the Ministry of Economic planning which organized the event, described it as successful.
Speaking with journalists after the presentation, Etacherure outlined the Bureau’s priorities for the coming year, noting that the welfare of Deltans is the number one priority of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration
The commissioner also briefed the press on the recent disbursement of N458 million to victims of the windstorm that occurred on April 15 this year.
He said the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda of the governor has benefitted all Deltans, noting that everyone in one way or the other has been touched with infrastructural development across the state.
The commissioner reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to improving emergency response systems, protecting lives and properties and ensuring Delta State is habitable.
