THE Vice Chancellor, University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, Prof. (Mrs.) Stella Chiemeke has directed all contractors handling different projects in the institution to ensure their completion by January, 2026.
Chiemeke gave the directive during the inspection of buildings under renovation and reconstruction in the faculties of Basic Medical Science and Clinical Science.
She was accompanied by the Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Patricia Mbah, the university’s librarian, Dr. (Mrs.) Vera Okonoko, a Council member, Dr. Ferdinand Iweriebor, Director of Works, Engr. Evans Ogwu, Senior Deputy Registrar, Mrs. Blessing ldoye. Chiemeke who was impressed by the level of work, said management would not tolerate any delay in the completion of all ongoing projects.
The site engineer in charge of the projects in the two faculties, Engr. Eric Biredus said he would continue to mobilize his workers to ensure he met the ultimatum.
Director of Works, Engr. Evans Ogwu urged that the projects, when completed, should be of high standard.
The Vice-Chancellor also inspected some projects at the Staff Model pr imary and secondary schools where she asked the principal, Mr. Festus Onyibe to ensure a new look of some of the buildings by re-painting them.
