A prominent resident of Ogbeide and other adjoining areas where an axial road to Enerhen Junction by Union Bank is located, Snr. Prophet Augustine Akpata has appealed to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to rehabilitate the road.
Akpata made the appeal in a media chat with our correspondent at his residence in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, recently.
He noted that the road seemed to have been abandoned since the flyover bridge was opened for vehicular movements, saying that residents of the area that were feeling the negative impact of the development and stressed that with the opening of the Enerhen Junction Flyover Bridge Project, vehicles no longer pass the earth road.
Akpata also appealed that construction of quality drainages should be considered along with the construction of the said road, noting that the area was flood prone.
The highly esteemed cleric, however, expressed optimism that rehabilitation of the axial earth road will ease vehicular movements on the road and also add beauty to the Enerhen Junction Flyover Bridge Project.
