The Obi of Aboh Kingdom in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, His Imperial Majesty, Obi (Dr) Greg Nnamdi Oputa III, has conferred Chieftaincy titles on deserving members of the Kingdom as part of activities to mark his first coronation anniversary.

The monarch charged the newly installed chiefs to be above board at all times and always endeavour to promote the overall interest of the throne and kingdom at large.

He said the honour was a mark of recognition for their outstanding contributions towards the development of the kingdom, urging his chiefs and subjects to remain united, peaceful, and loyal to the throne.

Obi Oputa emphasised the importance of loyalty, discipline, and mutual respect between the monarch and his cabinet.

He stressed that no meaningful progress, peace, or development could thrive where there is conflict between the king and his chiefs, urging them to maintain a strong personal and official relationship with the throne.

The monarch also demonstrated his appreciation to the women of the kingdom by donating ₦500,000, alongside the distribution of bags of rice and garri.

In a show of gratitude, the women eulogised the monarch, offering prayers for God’s continued guidance, long life, and a prosperous reign for the Obi.
