…Lauds Okpanam Indigines For Attracting Investors
AS the year, 2025 gradually rolls over, the Ugoani of Okpanam, in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, His Royal Majesty (Dr) Mbanefo Michael Ogbolu, yesterday, prayed for the successful completion of the Cubana Millennium City Project, Okpanam.
The Ugoani, who made the prayer in a letter to the Chairman/Secretary, Ugwunadagbe Community, Okpanam, titled “Cubana Millennium City, citied in Ogbeozoma Community, Okpanam, Delta State, and dated 23/12/2025, congratulated the people of Okpanam for creating a conducive environment that has attracted investors, culminating in the ground breaking ceremony of the project by the Delta State Government. Copies of the letter was given to all the Chiefs of Okpanam Kingdom.
But, in what could best be described as his commitment to seeing the project succeed, the Ugoani alerted on the urgent need of the investors to tighten some loosed nuts, as some persons are already performing roughshod functions, regarding the land on which the millennium city project is situated.
In his words: “I make bold to unequivocally state that all discerning eyes could see that some loosed nuts needed to be tightened in the herculean struggle for the land housing Obi Cubana Millennium City, Okpanam to be perfected even as we watch with bated breath, some well-informed persons, negotiating, and performing roughshod functions supposedly on the exclusive reserve of aborigius of Okpanam Kingdom at their back”.
To ensure transparency and fairness, therefore, the Ugoani solicited the unflinching cooperation, and patriotic zest of the Chairman and Secretary of Ugwunadagbe Community to make available to the palace of the Ugoani, the Deed of Conveyance with which the deal for the land was consummated.
This, he said was to enable the Palace and the land stakeholders to be on the same page, in fulfillment of their side of the package deal on one hand, and Obi Cubana Millennium City on the other hand, and for the sake of posterity.
