DELTA State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to partner with the Church and other faith based institutions in promoting peace, moral guidance and social transformation across the State.
Governor Oborevwori made the pledged at the dedication of the Isoko Christian House in Oleh, the headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State .
The governor, who was represented by the Delta State Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza, noted that the Isoko Christian House, which is a sanctuary of unity, worship and purpose, was also a living testimony to the enduring faith, resilience and collective vision of the Isoko Christian body.
According to the governor, the Isoko Christian House stands as a triumph of faith and cooperation and the fruit of the tireless efforts of the Isoko Christian Leaders Forum, the Isoko Christian Association of Nigeria and the Christian Association of Nigeria, who all came together, not only to build a house of prayer, but a symbol of harmony, strength and hope for generations to come.
“As Governor of Delta State, I am deeply inspired by this initiative. It reminds us that when the body of Christ stands united, no challenge is insurmountable. Our administration remained firmly committed to partnering with the Church and other faith-based institutions in promoting peace, moral guidance and social transformation across our State.
“We recognize the Church not just as a place of worship but as a vital pillar of nation-building, shaping values, strengthening families and nurturing citizens who uphold truth and justice. Together, we will continue to build a Delta State where righteousness exalts the land and justice flows like a mighty river (Amos 5:24)”, the governor said.
Governor Oborevwori further noted that while the Isoko Christian House will serve as a centre for interdenominational fellowship, mentorship, dialogue and outreach, it will also be a space where hearts are uplifted, leaders are nurtured and communities are transformed. Here, faith and service will meet and the gospel will inspire both spiritual and social renewal.
“As we dedicate this House today, let us also rededicate ourselves to the service of God, to the unity of the Church and to the progress of our people. May this moment mark the dawn of a new era of revival, faith and impact in the Isoko Nation and beyond”, the governor admonished.
Governor Oborevwori then extended heartfelt appreciation to the Isoko Christian community, thanked them for their vision, sacrifice and steadfast faith and prayed that the Isoko Christian House will be filled with the presence of God, resound with songs of praise and forever stand as a beacon of hope and transformation.
