ECHOES of praises and appreciation filled the residents of Agbarho kingdom, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, as people in their numbers came out to access the free medical outreach convened by an APC Chieftain, Rev Tony Ogugu of Christ Envoy International in partnership with Crest point Hope Alliance (USA).
According to Rev Tony Ogugu, the programme is aimed at providing essential healthcare services to the people of Agbarho and its environs. He further disclosed that the free medical services was part of his efforts to give to the society from the little God had given to him.
Speaking during the exercise, held at Agbarho, along Ehwerhe road, Rev Ogugu said, “What we are doing here is Sugar test for diabetes, giving of medication and we will be having Hepatitis testing and treating of typhoid, malaria for those that are available.
“We shall be attending to persons not less than 200 and this is an opportunity for the people of Agbarho kingdom to come and know their health status because early detection is very important in other to avoid complications”, Rev Tony Ogugu stated.
The general coordinator of Tony Ogugu free medical outreach, Rev John Ogheneovo commended the convener and sponsor of the programme, saying it was a laudable initiative. “I want to thank Rev Tony Ogugu for bringing this program to our people here because if you get to the hospital for just eye glass, you know how much to spend but here everything is been given for free”, Ogheneovo stated.
Beneficiaries of the free medical outreach were tested for high blood pressure, sugar levels and treated for typhoid, malaria, respiratory infection and other ailments.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Stella Omoyoma, who commended RevOgugu said, “I so much appreciate Rev Tony Ogugu who deemed it fit to bring this free medical outreach to Agbarho, and it is my prayers that God should continue to bless him.”
She prayed God to continue provide him and protect his family.
