Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has been commended for his unprecedented human capital and infrastructural development across the state, particularly in Okpanam.
A youth leader in Okpanam and Chief Executive Officer of Odogwu New York Properties, Mr Egbuna Odogwu, made the commendation in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, during the celebration of his 37th birthday anniversary, which he marked with friends and well-wishers.
He noted that several youths, including those from the community, had benefited from the empowerment initiatives of the state government.
Mr Odogwu said Okpanam had developed into an urban community far beyond expectations due to the developmental strides and impacts of successive administrations in the state.
He assured the governor that, come 2027, residents and indigenes of Okpanam would give him overwhelming support at the polls.
The celebrant, who thanked God for the gift of life and His numerous blessings upon his family, described his birthday as a turning point in his life journey.
He prayed for the continued success of Favour Beauty Salon, owned and run by his wife, Mrs Chukwuelofunem Odogwu, and also extended God’s blessings to his cousin, Mr Henry Okafor, Chief Executive Officer of SP Properties, for their unflinching support.
Odogwu further appreciated the unwavering commitment of the Director-General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA), Chief Patrick Ukah, for his dedication towards the growth and uplifting of the Okpanam community.
He used the opportunity to urge the people of Okpanam to strengthen the bond of unity and peace among themselves and to shun divisive tendencies, stressing that no meaningful development could thrive in an atmosphere of rancour and disunity.
In their separate remarks, Mrs Chukwuelofunem Odogwu and Mr Henry Okafor, popularly known as SP Properties, described the celebrant as a reliable partner and a great pillar in the growth of the Odogwu and Nwagalu families at large.
While congratulating him on his birthday, they prayed for longevity of life, more wisdom, and both financial and spiritual breakthroughs to enable him to continue impacting society positively.
They described Mr Odogwu as an unassuming and humble man, noting that he has been actively involved in the upliftment of humanity.
