Two young lovers preparing for their marriage introduction scheduled for this week, were crushed to death along Idumuesah Road, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.
Although the full names of the victims were not known, the incident was said to have involved Ifeanyi from Aliobome quarters in Idumuesah community and Sandra from Oba quarters in Umunede Town, both in Ika North East Local Government Area.
It was gathered that the accident was caused by overspeeding by driver of a Mercedes Benz E300 Driver, who crushed the victims from behind on their motorcyclee while trying to overtake them .
Sympathizers who reacted to the incident, lamented that the dream of Sandra and Ifeanyi getting married and raising a beautiful family was tragically cut short as a result of the tragic incident.
While some attributed the incident to the evil work of the wicked, others questioned why they were crushed to death when their marriage introduction ceremony was just days away. The shocking incident has plunged their families and friends into deep despair.
Our correspondent further gathered that the reckless driver with an unregistered Mercedes-Benz number plate struck Sandra and Ifeanyi while they were riding on their motorcycle on Idumuesah Road in the Ika North East Local Government Area, killing them instantly at the spot.
The victims’ families and sympathizers continued to mourn the victims, as the incident has sparked discussions and numerous online posts and comments. Some commenters belived that their passing may have been spiritually manipulated.
Sandra, also known as Blessed Kaima on Facebook, hailed from Oba quarters of Umunede. It was further revealed that she had recently accepted Ifeanyi, a native of Idumuesah for marital engagement since July this year, it was also confirmed that late Ifeanyi was based in Cyprus, but came to Nigeria few months ago for the completion of his building project and later got engaged to Sandra.
It was reported that Sandra and Ifeanyi were in the midst of preparing for their wedding, with the introduction ceremony scheduled for September 28, 2025. Unfortunately, they did not live to see that day. Additionally, it has been claimed that Sandra was pregnant at the time of her death.
