Mokogwu, Wife Honoured With Ambassadorial, Patroness Of MANAC Awards

THE need for individuals, no matter their social status in life, to contribute their quota towards impacting the lives of the less privilege, especially the widows have been stressed.

A foremost educationist in Delta State, Comrade Chiedu Joseph Mokogwu stated this in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State after his investiture as an Ambassador of  All Saints Missionary Army , Naval Air Force Chaplaincy (MANAC) during the windows’ Annual Thanksgiving Service and Investiture of Patrons, Patronesses and Ambassadors of MANAC.

Comrade Mokogwu, who described the honour as a recognition of his unwavering commitment to selfless service to humanity, noted that sacrifice to the lives of vulnerable persons in the society should be the taken seriously by every well meaning individuals.

He promised to sustain his assistance to the needy as  long as there was life , adding that the award was a morale booster to do more.

Also speaking, one of the newly decorated patronesses of MANAC, Barr. Mrs. Maureen Mokogwu, commended MANAC for finding her worthy of the honour, describing her installation as a welcome development.

Barr.(Mrs.)  Maureen Mokogwu called on Nigerians to rally round the widows of fallen heroes by supporting their families.

Earlier , the Chief Inspector of Education for Oshimili South, Deceases Lady Emiliana Djoma , an Ambassadorial awardee of MANAC stated that their  responsibility was to help provide support and necessary counseling to the  widows left behind by the Nigerian fallen heroes who died either on the battle field or  natural death .

Djoma, however, referenced the case of the death of Dorcas in the Bible who even  as a widow before her death was rendering support to her fellow widows hence her death was painful to other widows .

In his sermon, the Director of State Coordinator of MANAC said that the core value of MANAC was to extend help to deserved persons , particularly wives of deceased military officers that were in dire need of assistance due to the condition they found themselves .

Ogbonna noted that extending help to others was the best way to attract blessings from God.
