The LSC Boss lamented that despite these blessings, the agricultural sector especially at the local level has not reached its full potentials due to inadequate investment, outdated methods, limited access to modern tools and underutilisation of available resources.

He said the challenges had hindered the growth of agriculture, however, the Commission has deemed it fit to train a agricultural Officers/ Superintendents and livestock officers to change the narrative by equipping them with current knowledge, effective strategies and practical tools to improve food production and livestock management.

Otirhue also emphasized that, the Commission has trained the officers in order for them to promote agribusiness and rural entrepreneurship as well as strengthen value chains and market access, which will in turn boost the economic base of Local Government Areas.

He stressed that as frontline officers in this field, the officers are strategically positioned to drive innovation, enhance productivity and promote sustainable agricultural practices in the communities.
