Worshippers at the Life of Faith Gospel Assembly in Asaba, the Delta State capital, were shocked to their marrows after daredevil criminals stormed the church and made away with gadgets worth millions of Naira.
This was disclosed on a Facebook page by the Lead Pastor, Samuel Obiorah, who said that the robbery incident occurred on Sunday in Asaba. He further declared that no amount of trial will define his posture and service to God.
According to the post on his social media page: “I arrived early today in the church to find multiple doors forced open.
“They came with heavy arms, broke in, took our major musical and media equipment, injured few of us, but guess what they can’t take? Our praise.
“We thank God for what was taken, for what was spared, and for what will surely return. The church is still standing. We are still here. We are still praising. And God is still faithful.
“Yes, I will rejoice in the Lord. When I came here this morning, I started singing round the church. I said, ‘Thank you, Jesus,’ because that is the only way to gain strength. You see, when you begin to think about these sad things, it will strip off your strength.”
Obiorah, in his exhortation, mocked the robbers, stating that one of the things the enemy did was to knock on the wrong door. “I pity those people. They did not inform them well, and maybe their informant is even here. He didn’t inform them well. Let him tell them that the wrong people to fight are covenant people,” Obiorah averred.
